Since 2007, we’ve raised more than $8 million for PBI and their ground-breaking research, conservation efforts and outreach around the world.
Real polar bears, real impact.
Inspiring people to care about the Arctic and its future is crucial. For decades, PBI scientists have monitored polar bears in real-time. Tracking their movements reveals the effects of changing sea ice and helps raise awareness and action. We’re proud to sponsor two wild polar bears as part of this program.
Meet Siku
Siku is 21 years old and currently settled into a maternal den, inland from the Manitoba coast. She’s hidden from view now, but her late summer and early fall movements suggest Siku is busy nursing a newborn cub. In March, she’ll emerge with her new family and journey back to the sea ice to hunt after a long winter’s fast.
Meet Ares
From October to February, Ares and her yearling cub travelled more than 1000km together. In winter, their search for forming sea ice began along the north coast of Wapusk National Park. Time spent on sea ice is crucial: Ares has been teaching her growing bear how to hunt seals, swim and other lessons about surviving life in the Arctic.
From tundra to sea ice, see the impact of your support by following PBI’s interactive polar bear tracker as it monitors polar bears across the expanse of Canada’s Western Hudson Bay.
What affects them, affects us all.
A look back at almost twenty years of partnership between Canada Goose and Polar Bears International.
2026
A limited edition Snow Goose x PBI collection launches for International Polar Bear Day on February 27. The collection features a new polar bear graphic, pairing the animal with a top-down view of the Arctic landscape—a contrast that symbolizes the environment polar bears rely on and the urgent need to preserve it.
2024
Renowned designer Haider Ackermann joins Canada Goose as our first-ever Creative Director. Inspired by a trip to Churchill, Manitoba, his inaugural piece is the PBI Hoodie, a limited-edition sweatshirt made of organic cotton with 100% of proceeds going to Polar Bears International.

We join international supermodel and actor Kate Upton in Churchill, Manitoba. As a PBI Ambassador, Kate used her platform to raise awareness about wild polar bears and their vulnerable habitat.
2021-2022
Our funds help support PBI relaunch Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) research to detect dens hidden under the snow, with a goal of protecting denning polar bear families. And in celebration of our 15th year of partnership, we reach the milestone of donating over $6 million dollars to Polar Bears International.
2020
Together with MEDICOM and Polar Bears International, we partner to release a limited-edition BE@RBRICK figurine with proceeds donated to support the conservation of polar bears.
Paola Pivi x Polar Bears International
In 2023 we partnered with acclaimed artist Paola Pivi and Polar Bears International for a limited edition capsule collection of elevated Canada Goose essentials. Entering the whimsical world of Paola Pivi’s unique baby polar bear feathered sculptures, the capsule featured a vibrant camo print made up of intertwined bears.
2020
We celebrate the premiere of Bare Existence, a documentary that gets up close and personal with polar bears and PBI scientists to drive awareness and understanding around climate change in the Arctic.
2019
