The Canada Goose Warranty Policy

Canada Goose products are made with the highest quality materials and craftsmanship, to protect you in variety of weather conditions, and we stand behind each one.

Canada Goose products purchased from our E-commerce website, Retail Stores and Authorized Retailers are fully warranted against defects in materials and craftsmanship that were present at the time of manufacture.

The Warranty Coverage period varies by product category:

      Canada Goose Insulated Outerwear Products:

o     Fully warranted against defects in materials and craftsmanship (otherwise known as “manufacturing defects”) for the lifetime of the product.

o     Warranty for Canada Goose Insulted Outerwear Products extends to the original purchaser and other subsequent customer, provided the product is traceable, subject to applicable exclusions.

      Canada Goose Windwear, Rainwear, Knitwear, Footwear, Apparel, Accessories and Eyewear Products:

o     Fully warranted against defects in materials and craftsmanship (otherwise known as “manufacturing defects”) for two years from the purchase date accompanied by the original purchase receipt, unless otherwise specified on selected styles.

      Canada Goose Collaboration and Capsule Products:

o     Canada Goose Collaboration and Capsule Products are excluded from our warranty policy, unless otherwise specified on selected styles or by applicable law.

Products purchased through Canada Goose GENERATIONS are covered by Limited Warranty against functional defects for up to one year from the from the purchase date.

Issues Covered by the Warranty Policy & Treatment

The Canada Goose Warranty Policy covers against defects in materials and craftsmanship, otherwise known as manufacturing defect(s).

If a product fails due to manufacturing defect(s), we will perform repair(s) free of charge to restore the intended functionality of the product. If the product is not repairable, or the cost of the repairs exceeds the value of the product, at our sole discretion, we may choose to replace the product on a case-by-case basis.

If the exact style is not available for replacement, a product of similar functionality, performance and style will be provided.

Any repair or replacement decision will be consistent with mandatory provisions of applicable consumer protection laws.

Exclusions from the Warranty Policy & Treatment

The Canada Goose Warranty Policy is void/does not cover product issues that arise because of:

      Normal Wear & Tear

      Accidental Damage

      Improper Care or Negligence

For any damages not covered under Canada Goose’s warranty program and were deemed repairable, Canada Goose may offer to repair the damage to restore the intended functionality of the product for a reasonable charge. If such an offer is made, we will reach out and discuss the proposed solution with the consumer prior to any repairs being made.

Please note that tailoring and altering a product may limit warranty coverage. Should you choose to tailor your Canada Goose product(s), we will continue to provide warranty coverage to any un-altered areas of your product.

Warranty Eligibility

Before opening a warranty claim, please review the following eligibility requirements. These criteria help ensure your product qualifies for warranty inspection and allow us to process your case efficiently.

Product Tags Must Be Intact

All Product Tags on your Canada Goose product must be intact. Product Tags are located at the inner lining or seam of your Canada Goose product.

This warranty is not applicable and has no legal effect if the Product Tags were removed. Removal of Product Tags prevents Canada Goose from verifying the authenticity of the product or assessing the existence of a lack of conformity.

Product Must Be Recently Cleaned

In accordance with our Health & Safety practices, we require all products to be recently cleaned according to the instructions on the Product Care Label, located at the inner lining or seam of your Canada Goose product.

If your product has not been cleaned, the cleanliness of the product was insufficient to perform warranty inspection, or requested to be cleaned at our warranty facility, it will be subject to cleaning by our professional cleaner and the associated fees with be billed to your warranty case.

Proof of Purchase

We require customer to provide proof of purchase issued from our e-commerce website, Retail Stores or Authorized Retailers when submitting warranty claim for Canada Goose Windwear, Rainwear, Knitwear, Footwear, Apparel, Accessories and Eyewear Products, as it helps us to accurately determine the product’s estimated period of use.

If proof of purchase is unavailable at the time of warranty submission, the product’s manufacturing date and/or other credible documentation may be considered during inspection to assess warranty eligibility and the product’s estimated period of use.

Submission Process, Logistics & Expected Timeline

If you wish to initiate a warranty claim:

1.    Visit the Canada Goose Warranty Portal (Login/Create a claim) and login or create an account.

2.    Follow the instructions to create a new warranty case and provide required information.

3.    One of our warranty team members will reach out for next steps via email after initial review.

We aim to have your product back to you as quickly as possible so you can get back to exploring the great outdoors. Our average turn-around time is about four weeks from the time we receive your product to when it gets back to you.

Please keep in mind that fall/winter is our busiest season for warranty and repair service. We promise to keep you updated with more accurate time estimates throughout the process via email and your warranty account.

Warranty claims can only be processed if the return address matches the address used when the claim was submitted. We cannot ship rejected, repaired, or replacement products to a different address.

What does “Lifetime of the Product” mean?

Lifetime of the Product refers to the period during which the product can reasonably be expected to maintain its intended functionality under normal use.

The lifetime of a product does not limit warranty protections prescribed by statutory law.

What is “Normal Wear and Tear”?

Normal Wear and Tear are the expected deterioration of fabric and other components due to regular use, cleaning and exposure to various environments. Products used every day in the harshest conditions will degrade faster than someone who only wears their product once or twice per year.

Eventually every product will begin to show signs of age and wear. This is included but not limited to faded/slight colour changes on the fabric, frayed cuffs and edges, threads, small holes and excessive stretching of elastic materials.

What is the warranty cleaning policy and why do I need to clean my product?

In accordance with our health & safety practices, adequate and comprehensive warranty inspection as well as the security of the personnel of our warranty team, we require all products to be freshly cleaned according to the instructions on the Product Care Label, located at the inner lining or seam of your Canada Goose product, within a reasonable timeframe, prior submitting your warranty claim and shipping your product to our warranty facility.

For products specifically marked “Dry Clean Only” on the Product Care label, please have them cleaned exclusively by a reputable professional dry cleaner and include a copy of the receipt upon warranty case submission.

If your product has not been cleaned, the cleanliness of the product was insufficient to perform warranty inspection or requested to be cleaned at our warranty facility, it will be subject to cleaning by our professional cleaner and the associated fees with be billed to your warranty case.

What is the Canada Goose Eyewear warranty policy?

Canada Goose Eyewear comes with a 2-year warranty designed to uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship. This warranty covers original, unmodified eyewear from manufacturing defects but does not extend to accidental damage, lens scratches, wear and tear, or misuse.

What’s Covered:

      Defects in craftsmanship and materials.

What’s Not Covered:

      Accidental damage, including breakage caused by impact or excessive force.

      Wear and tear, such as scratches on lenses or frame discoloration.

      Damage caused by improper cleaning or exposure to excessive heat or moisture.

If your eyewear qualifies under the warranty, we will repair or replace the item at our discretion. If the original frame is no longer available, you will receive a Canada Goose gift card of equal value.

How much will it cost to get repairs done?

There is no charge for any repairs deemed covered under our warranty policy for your Canada Goose product.

For repairs that are not covered by our warranty but are deemed potentially repairable—based on internal quality standards and the ability to restore the intended functionality of your product—the cost will vary depending on the severity of the issue, the materials required, and the time needed to complete the work.

If we identify such repairs during the warranty inspection, we will contact you to review the available repair options and any associated costs.

How will cleaning and repairs impact my product?

During the repair process, Canada Goose warranty facility will make every reasonable effort to improve the appearance of the garment while ensuring its functional performance.

All garment cleaning services performed by Canada Goose warranty facilities strictly follow the care instructions indicated on the product care label and will not cause damage to your Canada Goose product. The cleaning process removes surface dirt and residue to restore the product’s original appearance as close as possible, which may result in the color appearing lighter than before cleaning. Further, cleaning may not remove all stains, due to factors such as the nature of the stain and the length of time it has remained on the product.

All repair materials used by Canada Goose warranty facilities are original factory‑produced fabrics and are consistent with the original materials used on your product. However, due to factors such as production batches, fabric aging, and use over time, slight color variations between replacement materials and the original garment may occur. Further, repairs performed on your product are limited to localized restoration. Due to factors such as materials, craftsmanship, or fabric characteristics, visible signs of repair may remain after warranty servicing.

Who handles shipping costs?

Customers are usually responsible for the cost of inbound shipping items to Canada Goose, and Canada Goose will cover the return shipping costs with tracking information. Please ensure that you ship the product using a carrier that can provide you with tracking information and proof of delivery. You are responsible for your product until we sign for its delivery.

What happens with undeliverable packages?

After the warranty case is complete, Canada Goose will return the item to the address provided by the customer.

If a parcel is returned to Canada Goose warranty facilities by our carrier, we will hold your item for a 1-year period from the date the item we receive the undelivered package. During this 1-year period, Canada Goose will attempt to re-confirm your shipping address by contacting you through various channels. This is including, but not limited to email, telephone, messaging services (if available), and by letter.

If you do not respond to Canada Goose and/or do not re-confirm your shipping address, at the end of the 1-year period, Canada Goose will consider the item as abandoned and we may not be able to return the item back to you.
